The Gonzales Bowl was one of the first heavily sessioned backyard pools in the world. Located in the heart of Dogtown, many skate legends rode there. Gone for many years, it recently saw a one time session. Many legends and current rippers showed up to celebrate Ozzie's birthday.
The first step was to get access to the pool. Ozzie worked like hell. First he got permission from Mr. Gonzales, who has lived there continuously since the raging sessions in the 70's. That being done, the pool still had to be drained, cleaned and painted. Ozzie took care of those tasks as well. |
