Okay, this is my first message sent to my newly created skateboard mailing list... all who recieve this message should be flattered that some one who RIPS so hard (me) would want to find the time to send a message to all of you.

The ocean bowl pool (Ocean City, MD) is in the process of being re-faced and re-tiled. Omer went and bought big 6 inch blue marbled tiles and is re-facing the pools bumpy, sucky, here vert, there no vert surface. The problem was originally that the city sub-contracted the finishing job to a company of local non-skating jerks who just wanted a quick buck and didn't realize the need for a smooth even surface and the importance of the 6 inches + of vert in the deep end. If those boobs only knew how many injuries were due to their greed... So the job is going relatively slowly since this Winter has been cold and harsh. The crew constructed a roof over the pool and have it heated so that the 'crete will set correctly and the boys plan on facing the pool section by section in order to re-do the surface smoothly and perfectly. So the prospect is this, skate it by mid-March (I hope) it all depends on the weather. Otherwise the rest of the park is open but turds like me and most of you I know would rather skate the pool.
