Mike Cao frontside grinds some rough coping. photo by jp
Next hit was the Shakey's Pizza pool. Once the pool was found we met Mike Caro who had been working on getting it ready. Mike had this left kidney of a gem hosed down and swept out. Mike was letting the pool dry while he was putting on his driving gloves getting pumped for the assault. This guy has got a super smooth style including death grinds f-side and b-side, various carve/slash grinds, and even more shallow lines. Mike killed it. Hey, sorry we couldn't give you a ride to where you were heading. The plan for the rest of the day was to go back to Kelly's pool because of a talked about session that was supposed to be brewing.

After getting to Kelly's we realized that the only people there were us. No complaints on our side. Kelly had us in his place and let's just say he knows how to pack a powerful punch. Actually like four or five of them back to back. His victims (us) then just walked around the pool like a pack of retarded school kids just off the short bus. During the fog storm we had just stumbled into, Kelly's hosing out the pool giving Commando like instructions on how to get the water out. The hose down may seem lame but it makes the pool much grippier. Once again a 3 man sk8 was going on. Turner pulled out some nice smith grinds, and Joe some nice 50-50's. The corners on either side of the roll-in are fucking rad. Tight, way more tight than they appear to be in photos or on video. See for yourself. Definitely the best constructed pool that we got to ride.
