Word got to me, in our tiny suburban town, that an indoor skatepark had opened in Cambridge. I got my first set of pads and a helmet in preparation. It was the first skatepark I ever set foot in. There was a bare bones shop with products I'd never seen before, a wall of pictures of pros and unknowns throwing down, a 9' half pipe, and a 5' halfpipe. The other section of the warehouse was used by Zito, the owner, to work on his go-carts. There was an article about the park in "The Boston Globe" and the place got shut down.
