The skatepark closed for business in August of 1999. It lasted more than a decade and as the ramps came down the warehouse seemed like a museum. The soul of Maximus is now dispersed, to backyards, to public skateparks, to this web site I hope. What follows are some photos that hung on a wall inside the park, a note written by Steve Hughes, and a rough timeline with my own personal perspective. It was a special place, not your average skatepark, and many were sad to see it go.
